The Starlogos
(Holy
Wood
- Groove
Factory)
recording studios have been designed to develop discographic products
from pre-production through to final mastering.
The structures, the computer facilities and the assistance of experienced
sound engineers and musicians allow
artists and producers to realize any
phase of the development of the final product at our studios, taking
advantage of the latest
recording technology and
necessary technical assistance.
Moreover,
the
Starlogos
graphic-arts and multimedia
studio
offers photographic and design services for the production of CD artwork,
inlays and serigraphs for such projects; in addition we can offer
professional video shooting and editing services in all analog and
digital formats.
Operating from
two different locations
- the
Holy Wood
Center,
in the Tuscan hillsides, and the Groove
Factory,
based in Bologna - Starlogos
provides four pre-production rooms, three control rooms, and six
recording rooms: the latter differ from one another in size and
materials lining the walls, and accordingly yield different sound
qualities. Thanks
to this special setup, we are able to offer a large range of services.

The Holy Wood
studio, equipped with four recording rooms, is chiefly designed for the
initial phases of production (composition, pre-production, recording,
and premixing), whereas the final stages (mixing, editing, and mastering)
are usually undertaken at the Groove
Factory
in Bologna. The Holy Wood
studio
is part of a wider Center for artistic research where technology, the
quality of life, and the beauty of the place combine
to serve artistic experimentation and research. aa
The
farmhouse can accommodate up to eight guests - an extra four small
apartments are also available nearby - and we offer a full culinary fare
consisting of local specialties. Moreover,
the Center is equipped with a
media library and
a small private cinema with a digital projector, a Dolby
surround system, and special-interest and international satellite TV
channels. A
hundred meters from the farmhouse is a lake that is ideal for swimming,
where you can freshen up and lie back between work sessions during the
summer. The
beauty and peace of the place, the conviviality, and freedom
of working plans
(scheduling studio sessions according to your needs) has
proven to greatly aid concentration and to yield the finest production
results. To

Groove
Factory
studio and production team offers a versatile
environment equipped with the most advanced and effective technologies for
artists and producers.
Groove
Factory
has
been designed to the highest specifications of sound treatment: a rubber
layer separates the base of the walls from the foundations and all the
environments are completely isolated from the outside building, forming
a box inside the box. This, besides other particular design
precautions for acoustic environments, assures a hot, present and
linear sound. The environment, quiet and comfortable, offers 4 studios
of pre- production and two large independent control- rooms which
overlook a 80 sq.m recording room. Every workstation is equipped with ProTools,
and the workstations are interconnected via ethernet.
A relaxing room with Internet connection and satellite tv, and
internal car parking are available to all guests.
