It is essential, when looking to produce music, that your music be recorded using the most advanced recording systems, for only this way can you begin to perform live, give some currency to your music, and to the style you are forging, and improve your musical skills all the while. The "Good Sounds
" project enables you to bring out quality music even without a
record company or label to back you up: the Holy Wood center opens an
opportunity for you to record in a dainty, reposeful setting steeped in
green, in a hilly, wooded area bordering against the provinces of Pisa
and Siena. The center makes advanced recording technology available, and
then for mixing and mastering you will turn to the Groove Factory
Studios in Bologna, where you’ll find the finest production equipment
and a team of widely experienced technicians ready to help; here you can
choose from either of two project solutions, both well affordable: CLIC HERE to see some photos of the recording studio in Holy Wood. Good Sounds ALBUM A 15-day session set up as follows: With this project solution you can blast a batch either 500 or 1,000 CDs packaged to have at least a basic graphic layout. Production cost is € 4.000 for 500 CDs and € 5.000 for 1000 CDs. Also, Holy Wood will be making its facilities available on request if you wish to have room and board over the course of the ten days spent doing pre-production: the beauty and peace enveloping the place, the conviviality, and the ease with which you can get a working plan going (scheduling studio sessions according to needs) cannot but promote concentration and yield the finest production results. And if you should choose to add aesthetic sparkle to your production, you can request a photo service and have a graphic layout designed for the CD covers and for any inside foldouts you may be planning to include. Good Sounds DEMO The "Good Sounds Demo" project solution enables artists to put out a 50-CD pack. Recording, mixing, and mastering are effected at the Holy Wood Art Place in the course of seven days, with a sound engineer on hand. Overall cost is €1,500. Holy Wood will be making its facilities available on request if you wish to have room and board over the course of the ten days spent doing pre-production: the beauty and peace enveloping the place, the conviviality, and the ease with which you can get a working plan going (scheduling studio sessions according to needs) cannot but promote concentration and yield the finest production results. You can also request a photo service and have a graphic layout designed for the CD covers. The cost for both project solutions is inclusive of the Holy Wood membership fee for the year 2002. This proposal is valid through January 31, 2003.
aaa The "Good Sounds" initiative is made possible by Starlogos, an organization born by the coming together of the Holy Wood Center, a cultural association committed to promoting musical culture and artistic culture at large, and the Groove Factory recording studios in Bologna. Finding they had a mission statement and a working method in common, the two combined their facilities and technicians in the service of a cultural initiative: producing music that flows from a deep musical culture and combines with it the technique of fine sound recording; which involves attentiveness to product quality (and to the quality of life) whatever kind of music one is working with however much it may have been pushed outside the mainstream of the music business so that those musicians who are indeed working on the fringes can come out with good sound quality. In this effort, we seek to open greater opportunity for research in music and hence new avenues for quality music. Toward StarlogosThe
Holy Wood
Center is a promoter and integral part of the Starlogos
group, a
fast-growing project that unites a number of disciplines and
organizations of diverse backgrounds. Our standards are high:
we are committed to building quality
into the initiatives launched and the services provided, we are focusing
on results, and
we want to integrate professional relationships with personal ones,
encouraging responsibility and initiative in order to produce professional,
as well as cultural, development.
Thus up to today Holy Wood- a center for arts and cultures set in woodland and providing the latest technological facilities (recording studios, media library, projection room, graphic-arts and multimedia studio) and lodgings -, Groove factory - a recording studio based in Bologna, likewise on the cutting edge of technology and staffed by experienced technicians -, and Publimedia Service - a multimedia communication services society (professional video shooting and editing and multimedia publications in all analog and digital formats: Vhs, CDRom, Betacam, DVD...) - have joined Starlogos. As other associations and institutions will join—moved by the same integrity and commitment to professional standards—Starlogos will be more and more able to provide on its own services all around all the while delivering the quality it is delivering today. Visit Starlogos at this web page for fresh information: we’ll keep you updated on forthcoming Starlogos proposals, such as courses, promotions, and production initiatives, as they become available.
